These strange little birds have slowly been diminishing from their natural habitat. In an effort to help conserve the land they roam and live on we at Great Basin Seed would like to offer some information about the Sage Grouse and the dangers presented to their lives. The following information contains videos about the Sage Grouse from various wildlife conservations.
A large percentage of Sage Grouse are found in the vast lands of Wyoming. The following video is from the Wyoming Wildlife TV, an episode on Sage Grouse in 2011:
If you live near Colorado then it is important to know the difference in the Sage Grouse found there compared to the rest of the Midwest. Gunnison Sage-grouse only inhabit 10 percent of their original range. They once ranged throughout Southwestern Colorado and into parts of Utah and New Mexico. Colorado Parks and Wildlife and other state and federal agencies have joined forces to create a range-wide conservation plan. You can help them by contacting us for info on seed for Sage Grouse habitat and reclamation.
